(Archived) How to enable the Detailed Billing Report via AWS Console

This article only applies to AWS accounts which are not managed by root360. 

Setup

To evaluate the resource usage in detail, the corresponding reports must be activated. For this purpose you must create an S3-log-bucket and the generation of the logs must be configured accordingly. 



1. Log in to the AWS Console with the root user (No IAM users) https://signin.aws.amazon.com

2. Under "Billing & Cost Management" → "Preferences" the logs must be configured according to the screenshot. Please note that the name of the given bucket name must be replaced by your S3-log-bucket.
